Ik heb besloten mijn profielfoto weer eens te veranderen (zie ->). Ik had wel weer genoeg van mn San Francisco-bum-foto, alhoewel deze mn weblog lijkt te veranderen in een Amerikaanse Betty Confidential-style vrouwenadviessite, jeweetwel, met zo'n column 'Sarah geeft antwoord', met vragen als: 'Lieve Sarah, mijn man en ik hebben de laatste tijd veel discussies over zijn gewoonte om theezakjes rond te laten slingeren, en ik ben bang dat dit onze relatie begint aan te tasten. Wat moet ik doen?' - Jenny, Massachusetts. 'Beste Jenny, jullie zouden moeten proberen hier van tevoren duidelijke afspraken over te maken, en jullie grenzen te stellen, blaaablaaaablaaaa.'

..Datte dus. :P
Maar ach, wie weet, wellicht kan het:
a. De frequentie van posten weer verhogen
b. De kwaliteit van mijn posts verhogen (weet alleen niet hoe dit in samenhang is met die zelfhulp/adviessites, maar het is duidelijk nodig - zo blijkt ook uit deze post)
c. En ik had gewoon wel weer genoeg van mn oude pic.
d. En normale, 'leuke' profielfoto's zijn ook weer zo.. 'normaal' en 'leuk' (dooddoeners oh yeah!).

Right. Verder heb ik niet zoveel leuk nieuws gehoord lately, of meegemaakt, en moet ik eigenlijk gewoon hard aan de slag.. Dus dat ga ik nu maar weer doen. Terug naar conceptenleer! Cheerio.

Profielprobleem II

Nou, ik heb nog wat rondgezocht naar een ..redelijke foto van mezelf, maar ik ben niet erg ver gekomen (oh wacht! ..Nergens dus). Maaaar, vanwege het aanhoudende commentaar van onze lezertjes, ben ik toch overstag gegaan, et voilà: nu is het Valerie con il cannolo :P (Suuperlekker ..gebak-dingetje (met ricotta!) uit Sicilië (ook wel bekend van "Leave the gun, take the cannoli"), alhoewel deze uit Tiel niet alles was. Maar ok: Tiel-Catania, Catania-Tiel..dat is ook niet erg eerlijk). (Btw, mn hand lijkt wel een oude-vrouwen-tang ofzo. Ieks!)(Tis ook nooit goed..) Een andere mogelijkheid is nog:


Maar hier kijk ik nog waziger dan de foto onscherp is. Dus, nou nee. :P

Verder wilde ik nog even mededelen dat ik aan elk scriptieschrijfziekteje lijd dat er is, dus.. eh, dus.. :P Dus ik moet nog even doorbikkelen voordat ik naar Amerika mag (*SNIF*). En hierna: nooit meer geen syntaxis nie. Want JEEZ.

Zoals al eerder vermeld, vind ik mijn Spuisluis redelijk verouderd (met name de foto en de bijbehorende beschrijving)..en daarom dump ik die even hier:

Wees gewaarschuwd, dit is/was in de eerste plaats een zeiklog (spui-sluis), en ik ben nog wel eens gefrustreerd. (:P) Echter, met een beetje goede zin wil ik ook nog wel iets plaatsen over taal (talen), taalwetenschap, de universiteit, Utrecht, feestjes, drank (bier, wijn, vodka, grappa, whiskey, ..Guinness!), eten (vis, sushi, Thais, pizza, ..koekjes!), landen (Thailand, Italië, Rusland, Japan, Ierland, ..Brabant!), reizen, kunst, boeken (literatuur?), sport (zwemmen, rugby, motor) en leuke artikelen/sites die ik vind.

Ik ga nog even nadenken over een nieuw design.
(Ja toch nog even posten - ik ben nostalgisch als de pest)

Just an update

The -em- problem with throwing cocktail parties is that, once you're looking for cocktails to select and print (for a shaking, stirring and straining guide), one gets such a terrible urge for imbibing each of these wonderful cocktails yourself - you know, just to test them, to make sure the guests'll be allright. :P

I am -so very ironical*- enjoying a S.K. myself right now (with SK in the living room :D). Can't really say the name, doesn't matter. I adjusted it anyway, so it's not the same. At the moment it's a cocktail containing vodka (a dash), amaretto and Southern Comfort, finished up with some soda water (compensating for the lack of ice cubes). Just the cocktail for the late evening (hehe). (*Especially today..)

So, lately I haven't been posting all that much - ah yes, nothing. :P What can I say? Maybe my life has become less ..woe-begone :P Or maybe not, but at least I experience it differently. Ahh, what a good month of holiday can do for you :P

What else is there to say?
..I am looking forward to the cocktail party, and also very much enjoyed MJ's birthday, Keith and Ingrid's anniversary, and ahh, a small whinement: *god* do those girls saying "dooeeeee-hooooei" with that particular intonation annoy me! But apart from that, all is very much the same :D :P

Okay, don't have very much else to say (strange eh?), so off I go, looking for 'Harvey Wallbanger's, 'Blwjb's (don't want spam, do we? :P)(Oh that reminds me, I must post my collection of 'Most Funny Spam E-mails Received'), 'Scarlett O'Hara's and the other lot.

Zo staarde ik naar de zoveelste Valentijnsreclame online, en vroeg me af waar dat hartsymbool (<3) vandaan komt. Dit is wat Wikipedia (tja) stelt:
